I have a habit of switching book favorites, so this is a hard question for me. I do have a series that I come back to every other year or so. The Banned and The Banished by James Clemens. I found them when I was young and had just gotten into reading. They were the first books that I finished, then immediately started over again. And now I go back to them over and over.

Well, it is a set of books. George RR Martin’s Song of Fire and Ice series. My husband has been reading them as they were released over the last 20 years, but I started reading the series as it debuted on HBO. Waiting for the next book, Winds of Winter to be released. Although, I am finally happy for the release of The Sea King.

That’s a hard one. I guess I will go with the oldest book I keep going back to and it is The Queen of Camelot by Nancy McKenzie. I love that it is the story of King Arthur bit told from Queen Guinevere’s perspective. It give a different spin on the story that I love.

I love so many but Dance Upon the Air by Nora Roberts was the first adult book with magic that I connected to and I have read it so many times I have almost memorized it. Reading it is like visiting a friend. I feel the same about the Tairen Souls series.

All time favourite book? Don’t make me choose! But I suppose if I have to…I’ll go with Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen.

Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander. I remember reading it and being so thrilled with the story that I wished I could rediscover it all over again. It was the first time I had felt that way about a book.

Pride and Prejudice since I was 17. It was the first classic I read and I fell in love with the characters! The Darcy and Elizabeth romance is epic!

I’ll say it has to be Dark Demon by Christine Feehan. I was 15 and loved to read but it had all kind of been YA novels and such. I had great interests and adoration in vampires, werewolves, mermaids, magic, just anything mystical or fanciful. And the books I loved so far were great, but I sort of wanted something more adult. I was getting tired of vampire bites and excitement that led nowhere.

So one day, my friend and I are walking around a Rite Aid (our small town has nothing else to go to) and I passed the book section. Same old stuff that side interest me, historical, cowboys and widows, boring. Then a cover caught my eye. DARK DEMON. How scandalous, nothing in my small town looked this way and certainly not in my town with too many churches and small minds. This has a hot guy, his hair perfectly up my alley AND the female lead is a sassy girl with my kind of wit. I picked it up and took it home and agreed it was the biggest book I’d grabbed, the most adult level, and boy, did I learn how adult. But it opened the door to my obsession with Paranormal Romance. I became more aware of a genre that I really adore and never knew how to find, I grew as a writer and discovered what really amped me to begin collecting books again and I can’t tell you how much I needed worlds to runaway to and they helped me deal with the sickness and eventually death of my dad just 2 years later and the terrible situation I was in with a very bad, manipulative man. I’ve been able to deal better with things and really cope because I had the new doors to open and get your of my own head. I needed that. I still do. And it has led to finding The Tairen Soul series and so much more.thsr I’m still finding.

My favorite book would be Anna and the Duke by Kathryn Smith . It’s what made me fall in love with reading in high school.

I don’t really have a favorite book of all time. I love all my books haha. But Tairen Soul series is one that I constantly reread because it has such a unique world with its own culture and language and I love when authors build amazing new worlds. Plus the romance and secondary characters are so well developed. Also love Harry Potter. Again, amazing world and such great characters, stories, and lessons

My Favorite book it Bet Me. It still holds a warm place in my heart because it had a character that I really related. It treated someone with a larger body size like a normal person (which at least, I have found to be a rarity in books) who was spunky, smart, beautiful & fun. I aspire to be like that character, confident & happy.

My favorite book is A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas. The world building, characters and passion are just amazing! It is a wonderful fantasy fiction novel that has relatable characters and an unbelievably hot guy!

I’m horrible with choosing favorites. How about I mention a series? Not to be a kiss-up but the Tairen Soul series is one of my favorites. I have it in print, digital and audio. There are a few things that made me fall in love with it. #1 It was my first fantasy romance. #2 The romance between Rain and Ellie was believable within the story parameters. #3 The detail of the world. I especially liked the maps. It shows how much effort was put into the world building. #4 The secondary characters. The twins. And Ellie’s dad. And everyone else I guess. #5 Though I hated having to wait so long for books 3-5 I think it’s awesome that you refuse to put out something that you’re 100% pleased with.

My first favorite book was The Count of Monte Cristo. The struggle, the vengeance, the adventure, the happy ending, all of it drew me in. I was 11 when I read it for the first time. It was amazing to my young mind. T has stayed in my heart ever since. It has been years since I reread it though. I have ad many favorite books, yours are my adult main go to for faves. But I went with the book that helped me love reading.

I don’t have a favorite book, but a favorite author: Nalini Singh(this woman can write ANYTHING and I’ll read it). She has such a way of presenting the characters and building her worlds that I can’t get enough of.

Julie

There’s no concrete answer to this question! I do reread Julie Garwood’s The Wedding quite a bit, though.

I can’t pick just one book that is my favorite. There are so many I love for so many reasons. But the book(s) that I fell in love with and keep coming back to as often as I can to get lost in it’s pages, is The Fading Lands novels. Every time I read them it’s as if I’m reading them for the first time again, falling in love with Rain, Ellie, and the gang all over again.
