I have a lot of “favorite books” since I enjoy a number of different genres. I’d say the book that first got me hooked on books in general would be “A Wrinkle in Time” by Madeline L’Engle. I believe my mom bought it for me when I was in grade school, and I devoured it and then the rest of the books in the series in short order. I’ve been reading ever since!

Such a hard choice!! My favorite for a long time was Montana Sky by Nora Roberts. I’ve read it so many times. I also love Nalini Singh’s books!

Dawn Roberto

I think the day I picked up Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and just fell in love with Claire and Jaime. They continued my love affair with the historical genre.

Amanda Warner

  on October 10, 2017 :

King! One of my favorite scenes is when Ellie and Rain immerge from the mists.

So hard! I’ve been reading all my life and it’s like picking my favorite child! But, I think the book I would call my favorite, that I go back to again and again, is Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon. The first half broke my heart in two, especially knowing Sherrilyn was a survivor of childhood abuse. Then, to see the second half, filled with love and triumph and happily ever after – it’s why I read romance!

Lord of the Fading Lands! I have lost count of how many times I have read and recommended this series. It is one of those Epic stories I have to read every year!

Ransom by Julie Garwood!!! I think I’ve read it a million times. It’s so full of humor, love, & adventure! And lots of suffering. So, so, so good <3

Terry LePage

  on October 10, 2017 :

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. The Narnian Chronicles were my first fantasy series. I am still looking for the wardrobe that will transport me to Narnia!

Jennifer Hubbard

  on October 10, 2017 :

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas. The slow development of love between the main characters keeps me coming back for more.

Tina M.

  on October 10, 2017 :

So many to pick from. Heaven, Texas by Susan Elizabeth Phillips because the characters just pull you in, this book makes me laugh, cry, and everything in between. I have wore the spines out on the Tairen Soul series and also see that happening with the Weathermage books. Have already read The Winter King multiple times. Kresley Cole books.

Heather Hutchinson

  on October 10, 2017 :

Mercedes Lackey’s Arrow of the Queen trilogy. I just really love Talia. It’s also really where I began my love for reading fantasy.

Kay Mansfield

  on October 10, 2017

i really like her obsidian trilogy

LeeAnn De La Cruz

  on October 10, 2017 :

This took me some time! It’s too hard to just pick one book! But I’m going with Wicked Abyss by Kresley Cole. I could reread that book over and over and never get tired of it. I love how old fashioned the male character is and how sassy and badass the female is. Definitely a favorite of mine right now!

Linda Townsend

  on October 10, 2017 :

Kathleen Woodiwiss’ The Flame and the Flower ignited my love of romance reads. I’ve gone thru multiple paperback copies of it reading them so many times they fell apart… (before kindles…)

Stephanie H.

  on October 10, 2017 :

That’s a really tough question but there is a book called Witch Child by Celia Rees. And I read this in my high school library and I’ve always been in love with books about magic and magical beings but in this book I’m not sure if it’s the way it’s written or the store but when I’m not sure what to read I always go back to reread this book

Ooo, this is so fun! I’d been wondering if there would be any chance to obtain the collector cards. I pre-ordered The Sea King and was hoping the cards might be a pre-order incentive. 😀

Fire by Kristin Cashore is my favorite book! It is marketed as YA but it crosses over well as adult. I reread this book so often – Fire’s story helped me through some difficult times, believe it or not.

In terms of adult, some if my favorites are The Winter King (and I’m not just saying that!), the Shattered Court by M.J. Scott, Destined for a King by Ashlyn Macnamara, and probably a dozen more. I love fantasy, regardless of age level!

Thank you for the chance! Congrats in the upcoming publication. =)

Oh man, tough question. I’ll have to say Magician:Apprentice by Raymond E. Feist. It was my first fantasy book, and I still read it once a year. I had only read horror and sci fi up until that point.

  on October 10, 2017 :

Man, that’s a tough question. I’d probably have to say Catherine Asaro’s The Dawn Star. Asaro’s world building, incredible characters and the perfect romance made me fall in love and kept me coming back for more.

Melissa Esser

  on October 10, 2017 :

How do you decide!?! 1st is probably Josephine Angelini’s firewalker series and 2nd the tairen soul trilogy. I can read them again and again. I love a series that sucks you in with beautiful world building and great characters.

JESSICA LOGAN

  on October 10, 2017 :

I can’t name just one book, the whole Black Jewels series by Anne Bishop are my ultimate favorites. The intricate, detailed plots, the drama, the perfectly placed comedic relief, what’s not to love?

Rex Anne

  on October 10, 2017 :

The very first Tairen Soul series book because I saw Ellie go from modest and awkward to a B.A. Feyreisa.
