Defintly Rain from your Tarian Souls series. From lonely not just a bit crazy to someone worthy of Ellysetta. He made me root for him right from the start

I love Ellesetta. I love the way she was able to overcome her cowardness and do what she needed to do to survive any thing that was throw at her and the ones she loves.

Despereaux from The Tale of Despereaux!

How am I supposed to choose just one?!?!?!?!

I’m going to have to go with Fran Bow, from a video game of the same name.

She has gone through an unbelievable experirence, and she is so strong and brave.

I haven’t finished the game yet, it’s a little too scary for me, I have to play in small chunks.

Bellaird ~ He is loyal, kind, honest to a fault, He really need to find his soul mate. He deserves one.

I love the change Rain goes through inte Tairen Soul-novels, it still makes my heart beat a little faster, but my other favorite is Fitz from Robin Hobb’s series about the Farseers and the Assassin’s apprentice.

Jarlaxle Baenre because he is so smart and he makes me laugh. he is so sly and shifty , i have seen him as both the good guy and the bad guy. i also like Auum from james barclay’s raven series , gotrek from the gotrek and felix series , and Lothaire whi is also sly/smart.

Ellysetta. Her world is turned upside down yet she faces it like the queen she is meant to be.

Janet

  on October 12, 2017 :

My favorite fictional protagonist is Claire “Lightning” Farron from Final Fantasy XIII. She did whatever it took to fight her focus and look for a way to free her sister, Serah, from her sleep-like crystal state.

This is a pretty hard question lol because I do like the protagonist of many books and it’s hard just to pick just one . But what most of them have in common is that they are strong characters (not to mention they have some kind of magical ability)

Kate Daniel’s father. I like him. I like when the bad guy has a good side and you can see their inner conflict. That is what I like about Roland.

  on October 12, 2017 :

Harry Dresden I think. (The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher) This man not only has my humor, he’s a complete nerd, he puts his life on the line to protect those he cares for, his city, the world (whatever it happens to be threatened this time) and he does so with snark, witty lines, and a damn good Noble loyalty that just makes me feel empowered by him. He takes whatever is thrown at him, he never treats a woman wrong, he is a comic book fan, (so that super helps), and he’s never really given up. He just keeps getting up and going back into the fight. He’s clever and witty and damn the man for being ruggedly.handsomenbut modest about it, hahaha

Julie

  on October 12, 2017 :

Evie in The Mummy movie series. She’s passionate and nerdy and not afraid to be either.

Rochelle Krizek

  on October 12, 2017 :

My favorite fictional protagonist is Bess, the landlord’s black-eyed daughter, from the most tragic love story every written, The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes. I love the little taste of history that we get to experience in reading this poem. And our fateful protagonist, Bess, will forever be my favorite. In the poem we see her innocence as she waits for her love to return turn to resolve as she recognizes that the only way to save him is by taking her own life. What I love the most about Bess is her heroic love. What greater love than this? She struggled for hours to free her fingertip so she could reach the trigger of the musket, knowing that her Highwayman would come to her, though hell should bar the way. We don’t learn much about Bess, or the Highwayman for that matter, but what we do know is that romantic love they had for each other cost them both their lives and we adore them for it.

Rhysand in the Court of Thorn and Roses series. He is so unlikeable until suddenly he’s not, lol! He did so much to protect the things/people he loves.

i agree.

It’s hard to pick just one. I still love Brandon from the first romance I ever read (The Flame and the Flower by Kathleen Woodiwiss.). But, if I have to pick just one, it’s Rain for me too… Your Tairen Soul series is my fav series of all time…

So many! But, I have to go with Acheron from Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series. An 11,000 year-old Atlantian god who has the power to end the world and, after the childhood he had and the abuse he suffered has every right to, he still fights for mankind. He is protective of those he calls family and when he falls in love, he is all in. He is the one person you can count on without fail.

It’s hard to pick, but Rain and his transformation from lonely and slightly crazy king to the devoted love and strong partner really means a lot to me. I love how he gets stronger when love enters his life. Love so often is shown as something that makes you weak, and I love that it ultimately makes him stronger than ever.

  on October 12, 2017 :

Jackson Overland Frost from the Guardians of Childhood series by William Joyce.

No doubt Ellie is going to receive a ton of accolades today :-).

He has a slight edge to him but he’s amazing. The movie, Rise of the Guardians, is a great look into the characters before you read them.

Jack Frost is a great reminder of the good and dealing when life gives you lemons.

There are so many characters that I love and simply miss from my favorite books! It is hard to pick just one! Today I suppose I will go with Barrons from the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. What I love about him the most is how sure he is in his own skin. He knows and loves the beast within himself. He is loyal to his friends, family and the people he loves. There is no boundary he will not cross for them. A line of his that I love the most is “There is nothing I can’t live with. Only things that I can’t live without.” (swoon!! hint* he is talking about his lady there!) Not to mention he is a total bad *ss alpha! I typically don’t like his “type” in my books, but he definitely grew on me through out the series. If you haven’t read the Fever series I highly recommend them. This series is my second favorite of all time! The Tairen soul series is my first! I figured Rain would get a lot of love for this QOTD so I decided to go with my dark horse instead of my light one 😉
