Update on SEA KING

Posted

As some of you may be aware, I have been dealing with a number of personal and health-related issues over the last year that have delayed the completion of my next book, THE SEA KING, my second Weathermages of Mystral novel. I hope to have a completed manuscript by the end of this month. I do not currently have a publication date for the book, but will post the news to my website, FB, and twitter as soon as I do.

To all my readers who have been patiently waiting for this book, thank you so much for your continued support and patience. I appreciate it more than I can say. In addition to THE SEA KING, I have plotted and begun work on two other Mystral novels, to complete the Seasons of Summerlea trilogy. More news on those later.  They are still in very early stages.

For those of you who have been waiting so patiently for my next Fading Lands novel (Bel’s book), rest assured, I am continuing to work on it and other Fading Lands stories.  I hope to bring them to you as soon as I possibly can.

Please check back for updates.

UPDATE (February 2017).  I finished the SEA KING manuscript  and am waiting on a publication date from my publisher.  Will announce the new date when I have it.

I’m sad to hear it’s delayed but there is plenty to read while you get better! Hopefully I will get to see you at Dragon Con this year. I stopped by and bought all the books I didn’t have with hopes of getting them signed too, but you were away. I told the nice woman at the booth that I would be back next year with a backpack full of books that have been read and well loved!

I hope everything is getting settled and you are on the mend. I will continue to wait, as patiently as possible, for what you have so graciously imagined and asked people like me to listen to your stories. They are by far the best romance/fantasy books I have ever read and I re-read them often. Take care of yourself and thank you! Next time your in Colorado I hope I can have you sign my book! God Bless!

First: I love your books and listen to them on audio book all the time( I’m actually enjoying Queen of song and souls as I type this ?)
I find myself extremely curious about, and drawn too some of your darker characters. I was intrigued by mellisandra and would love to know where her life might go. I also must confess I want(so bad!) to hear a story about a Faraz witch! They are so evil! I just love it and can just imagine the amazing power, sexuality, plotting, temptation, and internal struggle of a young witch in love. Can they even love? Where and how do they live? How much is their nature and how much their environment?! So many questions! Could she love a Fey, or even a Mage? Could she still be a power hungry dark sexual temptress and love truly?….you see how excited I get.
I read that you aren’t feeling well and I send you my best wishes for luck happiness health and a speedy recovery. Your writing enriches the worlds of fantasy.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Finney

I hope your health improves greatly and you feel better soon. Although I am chomping at the bit for your next book, I have no issues whatsoever rereading the Tairen Soul books for the billionth time. 🙂 They are my all time favourite books!! Again, feel better soon!

I am hopelessly hooked on your books. I fell in love with Rain, Ellie, Kiel, Kieran, Bel, and the others instantly. I haven’t finished the series yet. I’m on book three and fully expect to be blown away with the last three books in this series and then start on your other books. I have happily stumbled upon a new favorite author thanks to Christina Feehan with an excerpt at the end of one of her books. I can’t stop thinking about these characters. I think about them at home, at work, and even in my sleep. No other author has been able to ensnare my every thought they way you have. I’ve laughed out loud, cried, been happy and sad… And I’m only on book three… About three chapters in. Thank you for giving us these characters! May God bless and heal whatever problems have been plaguing you over the last few years!

I think we can all understand having health issues getting in the way. Mine started in 2010 and are still keeping me from what I need to do. Please take care of your self first and foremost. The worlds you create are awesome enough that we, your dedicated readers, will wait as long as needed to experience another one.
Praying for you and yours…
