Question of the Day

I have read some ebooks, especially while riding my stationary bike as it makes the time go by faster, but I definitely still prefer print copies. If it’s a book i’m really looking forward to or know that i like, i need to have it in print. I just love filling and rearranging my bookshelves and holding my books!

I read both mostly because i read so much. I can get through a book a day so going on holiday means that the suitcase used to be full of books and if there was a bookshop at the airport then thats where i would be. I prefer to get books in paperback and for those that I love i tend to buy hardcopies as well. you cannot get better than the feel of a new book when you open the first page or the smell or the memories attached to them of what you were doing or where you were when you bought them.

I read both but I definitely prefer print because you dont have to worry about charging batteries or texhnical difficulties, you can just open your book.

I like and read both.I tend to prefer print books for things I know I will read a lot (like your books) or will need to reference a lot at work (I’m a scientist). I tend to purchase ebooks for things I think I’ll only read once or twice (like biographies), or when I’m on the go and need a new book while traveling. I’ll also buy ebooks of things that have only come out in hardback, especially if I don’t want to wait 6 months to a year to read it.

I like them both. But nothing can beat the smell of a print book. I like the sound the pages make too. It makes my heart happy!

I so prefer print. The only think I’ll deal to read on e form is comics. But real printed books you can’t beat. The smell of new pages or ones you’ve loved for a long time, the feel of a book in your hand and being able to read it in any light. Plus it’s cool having a solid book in your hand so others can see what you’re reading and strike up conversation. It’s just….better all around to have print. Not to mention you don’t lose reading access if you don’t charge a battery!

I prefer print, to feel and smell the book in my hands. But I also read ebooks and listen to audiobooks. They are so convenient for traveling and I love listening to books while I clean and run errands.

  on October 24, 2017 :

Definitely print! That’s all I’ll buy. I sometimes check an ebook out at the library, but still prefer the real thing in a book. I like to be able to easily flip between pages if I need or want to go back in the story to reread something. I also like the look of books on my shelves and saying what do I want to read today. I feel to much technology distants people in general.

  on October 24, 2017 :

I prefer ebooks given that I can increase the font size and it helps keep my eyes less tired… but I am not averse to paper as my 5 tall bookshelves at home can attest. I do better with paper when its nonfiction. I’m a highlighter….

Heather Foster

  on October 24, 2017 :

I like to read both, but I do love print books with their bookish smells

Cissy Shuler

  on October 24, 2017 :

I have both, prefer print but some are so big and expensive plus I ran out of bookcases, I have 7!

Rex Anne

  on October 24, 2017 :

Absolutely adore print. I started doing eBooks only for some of my French books. Or if it is at the library and there is no other print book available.

Stephanie H.

  on October 24, 2017 :

I can read both but over all I love it in book form. (Love new book smell) 😂 but if it’s only an online book then yeah I will read it and still love it but if my phone dies and I’m no where near a charger then I have to wait to continue reading. But with normal books they don’t need batteries… but I would have carry it around adding weight to my purse 😂

Terry LePage

  on October 24, 2017 :

Print! I will use my mom’s ereader if she has a book she wants me to read on it, but I like printed books best. I can flip back and forth if I want to check something. And I love the feel, smell and everything of a printed book.

Joana

  on October 24, 2017 :

Print all the way.!

I feel complete with a printed book in hand. It’s more sophisticated , and less harmful for my eyes.

You don’t need to charge it, you can embrace it when the feels is to much and you can throw it on the wall whenever you get frustrated with the story.

Aly P

  on October 24, 2017 :

I love both. I mostly read ebooks, but I have my favorites in print and I reread them as such.

Rachael constant

  on October 24, 2017 :

Print. Especially with my favourite authors. I do like my kindle but it doesn’t quite beat holding your favourite books and admiring their covers

Patti

  on October 24, 2017 :

Both!

I have to be careful with how much space I use in my home and with my money. I will buy the first book in a series if it goes on sale for my kindle and then decide if I want to purchase physical copies, kindle editions or not continue at all.

Jenny Dorsett

  on October 24, 2017 :

I like both, but I am more likely to get ebooks because of convenience. Nothing beats a physical book in my hands though.

Amista Phillips

  on October 24, 2017 :

I read ebooks and display print books.
