My idea of a perfect day is getting a full nights sleep, waking up early, having a healthy breakfast and then spending the day either working, or cleaning or doing something productive and then spending the evening either with friends or dancing.

Snuggled under cover with a lover listening to the rain.

It’s hard to pin this down to just one but… maybe a day on holiday with my family doing something fun – like sightseeing in London or relaxing on a beach.

A day with no chores or kids, to read, veg out and maybe watch something of my own for a change. 🙂

My perfect day would involve a yummy breakfast with french toast and spend the rest of the time binge reading a series that I can’t put down. That’s literally the best feeling!

The day starts with me having remembered (for once) to set the coffee maker and fresh, hot coffee greets me. And oh look, there are no dishes on the counter, in the sink, on the coffee table….my family (for once) managed to put them in that magical appliance called a dishwasher. There isn’t even laundry to be picked up and washed. I think I will go outside and languish on the chaise while reading anything (cereal box even) without being interrupted and for as long as I like (all day maybe?)! Of course this is fantasy. Oh well. I’m going to sneak off to the bathroom now and read a few pages sitting on the floor while the shower runs. This is reality.

My perfect day is awakening fully rested and recharged. For activities, I am able to choose whether to stay inside and do whatever strikes my fancy other go outside and do the same. The perfect day is a day in which *I* am the center of my attention, all things done by me are for my enjoyment and there is no judgement of my choices. Whether I choose to spend it on myself in a spa or helping disadvantaged kids with their literacy, what I choose to do is my choice and any choice I make is valid.

The air is cool, but not quite chill. There’s a breeze that rustles the autumn leaves and carried them away to rattle along the pavement and decorate the sky like confetti. Comfortable on my bean bag chair with a hot mug of apple cider by the window to watch, I can sit all day to write and draw and read. Occasionally, it storms, the rain pouring down and making a rhythmic splatter that lulls me toward an easy nap.
