Ahh! My bestie is still trying to get her hands on a sea king! Fingers crossed.
I read so much and have so many favs, I never know how to choose. So I always go back to the book that got me hooked on reading and helping others as a young adult. It’s called “the only alien on the planet” and my fav part is the end, where the main character realizes how much her awkward and clumsy friendship attempts have made a difference with “the alien” and even gone beyond what she knew. She and “the alien” move forward together in their lives to face the personal demons waiting for them.

My favorite is from, I believe, the Queen of Song and Souls. It’s where Elly dives into the well of souls to protect the kitlings from the Mage. She was willing to do whatever to took to save the kitlings. It shows just how much she has grown throughout the books.

I love Winter King. Favorite scene was when her father nearly beat her to death. So heartbreaking!

To pick a fav scene is too hard, way to many to pick, different authors, different stories. So I will sum it down. So my fav scene from Winter King, is when they are in the tent while she is sick. He is not meant to have a heart and yet he cares. Love it. The tension in those scene are the best too. The bath scene woot.

One of my favorite scenes comes from Kristen Ashley’s book The Golden Dynasty. The whole book is full of some of favorite scenes, but one I remember most is when Lahn locks Circe in a room because he doesn’t believe that she is who she says she is. It’s raining hard because she is heartbroken. She uses her magic to wish herself away to the land where she came from. When she magics herself away, it immediately stops raining and Lahn runs to her room and finds her gone.

Probably my favorite scene would be the lead up to final battle between Mike Havel and Norman Arminger in A Meeting at Corvallis, book 3 of S.M. Stirling’s Emberverse series.

While this memorable passage isn’t from one of your lovely books, it’s one that has stayed with me for a long time. It’s from Elizabeth Hunter’s book The Force of Wind, book 3 in her series The Elemental Mysteries. It’s the scene in chapter 12 where Beatrice is sitting outside in the garden savoring the sunshine. She’s about to change her life in an unimaginative way and it’s incredibly emotional. I’ve read this chapter over many times and it always moves me to tears.

My favorite scene from one of your books is *spolier for those who have not read the sea king* is when Sumer survived at the end of the book with gills (lol just a bit vague not to spoil the ending) 😂

Thank you!
Not to say that I don’t also love your books and writing, but one of my favorite scenes ever is also from my all-time favorite author Nalini Singh. It’s the scene where Raphael chooses to fall with Elena rather then surviving without her(SPOILER: it all ends well :D). It’s from Angel’s Blood, Guild Hunter #1, a urban fantasy series with some paranormal romance elements. I rec it with all my heart.

Only one favorite scene!?!???! There are so many!!! But if I have to choose just one, it will be where Talisa and Adrial die. I know it’s a really sad scene, and I cry every time I read it. But that’s what makes it so good.

  on January 30, 2018 :

You know I love all of your scenes!

But the last one that got to me is in Lorraine Heath’s Beyond Scandal and Desire:

“I fear I’ve worked you up into a lather. I supposed you’ll go to a brothel now.” She hated the notion of another woman touching him, of another being able to touch him in ways that a lady of her station could not, must not, would not.

“No.” His voice was raw as though he’d had to drag the word up from the depths of his soul.

“I lied. It wasn’t the ale that wanted you to kiss me”

He flashed a grin. “I know.”

Sobering, he cradled her face, stroked his thumb over her high cheekbone. “Never in my life have I longed to be legitimate more so than I do at this very moment.”

Sigh, I love that!!!! Tore my heart up!

It is too hard to choose just one. But one is when Ellysetta heals Bel soul. I love how much in awe he is and humbled and that he realizes how giving her heart is. And that Elly doesn’t realize how strong her powers and her heart is.
