Unpublished Awards

Long before I was published, I was writing and submitting books to a variety of unpublished writing contests. The wins and finals helped keep me motivated to continue writing and got my manuscripts in front of editors without going through the slush pile. The Winter King (unpublished, fantasy romance) finaled in the 2006 Georgia Romance Writers' Maggie Award of Excellence.

Tairen Soul

This was the unpublished manuscript that became LORD OF THE FADING LANDS and LADY OF LIGHT AND SHADOWS. The Jasmine Award win in 2005 was judged by Alicia Condon at Dorchester, and ultimately led to my first sale and the publication of the Tairen Soul series.

Tairen Soul won the 2005 LCRWA Jasmine Award.

Tairen Soul won the 2004 West Houston RWA Emily & Best of the Best Award.

Tairen Soul won the 2004 NOLA Stars Suzannah Award.

Tairen Soul finaled in the 2003 Tampa Area Romance Authors First Impressions Contest.
