It’s time to kick off the release countdown for THE SEA KING, Book 2 in NY Times Bestseller author C.L. Wilson’s (that’s me!) Weathermages of Mystral series. From now until November 1, I’ll be hosting the countdown blog at www.clwilson.com. Come join me for fun and prizes.

And on October 31st, come join me on my Author C.L. Wilson FB page for the SEA KING release day party! We’ll be having fun and games and prizes to celebrate the arrival of THE SEA KING.

Current Drawing

From through the Monday October 9th countdown post, stop by the C.L. Wilson blog to answer the question of the day and enter to win. You can comment multiple times a day, just to have fun and be involved, but each participate receives only one ticket in the drawing for each day’s blog post you comment on.  All responses will be tallied after comments close for the final post. The winners will be selected at random from all entries, with all winners of the first drawing posted on Tuesday, October 10th.

Prizes to Be Awarded

On Tuesday, October 10th, random winners from the eligible pool will be selected to win one of the available prizes:

  • Autographed copy of THE SEA KING (one winner selected)
  • Autographed copy of THE WINTER KING (two winners selected)
  • THE WINTER KING & THE SEA KING autographed Collector Cards and bookmarks (5 winners selected)
  • A $5 Tairen Bucks coupon, which can be used to purchase any item from The Tairen’s Lair, the online store for official C.L. Wilson merchandise (1 winner selected)

To participate in the SEA KING Release Countdown Sweepstakes, you must be (a) be eligible to participate (see “The Legal Stuff” below) and (b) answer the “Question of the Day” on the current daily blog post at www.clwilson.com/blog/ before 10am Eastern Time (UTC-5) the following day.

    IMPORTANT: Commenting on syndicated blog links — such as those at Goodreads or Amazon.com — do not constitute a response eligible for inclusion in the daily or grand prize giveaways. You must come to the C.L. Wilson website blog page (see link above) to enter an sweepstakes-eligible comment.

Every eligible person who participates in the countdown by answering the Countdown Question of the Day on the daily blog will receive one “ticket” for each day they comment on the daily countdown blog. Those tickets will be added to the sweepstakes drawing pools for both the associated daily or weekly drawing, as well as the Grand Prize drawing. Daily Comments are open from the time blog post is posted, through 10am Eastern Time (UTC-5) the following day. Any comments posted after the comment closing time will not be included in the sweepstakes.

Winners will be chosen at random from the complete pool of eligible tickets for each respective daily/weekly/grand prize drawing. A single participate may win prizes from multiple days’ drawings; however, no participant shall win more than one prize per drawing. All efforts will be made to announce the winners for each daily or weekly sweepstakes within eight hours of comment close. The Grand Prize winner will be announced by 8pm Eastern time (UTC-5), November 1st.

I like Ellysetta, as she reminds me of myself in a way. She seemed to be a weak person at the beginning of the series, but became a stronger person through all of her tough times and triumphed in the end.

My favorite character is Melliandra. I thought that she was an interesting introduction into the non-mage Eld society. She showed that all the Eld weren’t evil and that a lot of the people were victims of their rulers. I enjoyed observing her journey of rebellion against her suppressors, and I believe that she has a much larger story to be told.

Oh wow, that’s a hard one to narrow down to a single character, since so many of them are great. If I judge my favorite character based on one I’d like to learn more about in future books, I’d have to say it would be Bel! I’ve loved him from the second he told Ellie she would be beautiful no matter what she was wearing in the very first Tairen Soul series book. He just seems like he is the greatest friend one could ever ask for.

Bel has been a huge favorite of mine since I first met him in the Tauren Song series. Knowing about his life and his interactions with the entire cast of characters in the series brought me a huge amount of happiness.

Favorite C.L. Wilson character has to be Khamsin. I love that she stays true to herself, whether it’s standing up to her father or refusing to give in to the attitudes of the Winterfolk. And, in the end, she wasn’t the damsel in distress – she’s the one who saved Wynter.
