Question of the Day

Which do you prefer, ebook or print?   Or do you like and read both?

It depends. When i am riding in the car or traveling i prefer ebook. When i am curled up at home, i prefer a physical book. It seems that i read ebooks faster, and sometimes i never want the story to end so physical books are more satisfying.

I love them both. But I prefer e-books because then I can take me entire library wherever I go.

Molly Shahly

  on October 24, 2017 :

I love print books and for so long swore off reading e-books, but some covers of books are just so hokey that I’m embarrassed for people to see me reading them lol! Also, there are a ton of cool features on e-books, like the really easy use of a dictionary and you can buy and download books instantly withought having to wait for shipping or going out to a bookstore. Still, there’s nothing better than a hardcover book.

Both. I thought I would be only print forever but ebooks are fantastic when traveling for long periods of time. All the books you might want in a light format

Dana Hess

I prefer print

Lori Sang

  on October 24, 2017 :

I don’t have a preference. I love both! I’ll read whichever version I can get my hands on first if it’s a book I’m waiting for…like The Sea King.

Morgan

Both!! Ebooks are very easy to travel with.

M Rea

I read both but prefer print. =]

I like and read both. There are some indie authors like that only publish ebooks, but I do like ebooks over print sometimes. It really just depends on what mood I am in.

I love the feel, smell, and overall experience of a book in my hands. If its a book from one of my favorite authors I will always buy the paper book. However, with teenagers and toddlers at home, most of my current reading is via ebook. It’s easier to pick up for a few chaos free moments and not worry about it getting ruined by little hands.

Real books, so much nicer to hold and look at, and they don’t go flat when you get to a good part, but if I can’t find a book for sale in nz I’ll get the kindle version, I guess it has the perk of being able to enlarge the print as I’m legal bind, but real books just feel so right, the oddly sad and yet satisfying fealing of putting the fresh crease in a fresh book.

Danielle Hamilton

  on October 24, 2017 :

I like both, there are some series I am committed to on ebook because I find the authors works more accessible but some author, such as yourself, I just have to have the printed book in my hands.

Mathilda S

  on October 24, 2017 :

I like both. It’s thanks to e-books I found the Tairen Soul-novels but since then I’ve also got them in print, to keep them.

Dawn Roberto

  on October 24, 2017 :

I read both print and ebooks

Ashley Gibson

  on October 24, 2017 :

I like both!

I find ebooks easier to read. It’s easier for me to hold a Kindle that’s just one piece, versus a print book that has two sides and needs to be held open. I also like how easy it is to highlight quotes.

But, I love having a physical library full of print books. Plus, when I’m reading a book I quite enjoy being able to close it for a bit and study the cover, particularly if it has some cool illustrations. Sometimes that gets me even more excited about what I’m reading.

And of course, ebooks win for travel!

Danielle Diskey

  on October 24, 2017 :

Print!!!!! 🙂

Tisha

  on October 24, 2017 :

I prefer print, nothing can ever replace the warmth of a book in your hands, something hot to drink and curling up in your favorite spot to lose yourself in an adventure!

Kimberly Johnson

  on October 24, 2017 :

I really prefer a printed book because I like the feeling of anticipation turning the pages gives me. But I have to admit that having an ebook when traveling is very convenient and let’s me take my library with me with very little effort.

Kimberly Bea

  on October 24, 2017 :

I prefer print. I love the beautiful cover art and the weight of the book in my hand. Thanks!

I read both! Nothing beats a paperback in my hand, though.
