I came across The Winter King while looking for something new to read in the kindle store. Since then the Tairen Soul series has become one of my all time favorites.

The blog called Dear Author had done a post on Lord of the Fading Lands and I believe there had been an arc giveaway involved. The review of the book had been glowing, and I had found the opinions there to suit my own preferences, so gave it a try and was so very grateful that I did.

My husband was in the hospital and was in bad shape. I found the first book and then went on to read the rest. They helped me stay sane during that hard time

I was working for Wal-Mart and was looking for a new book to read. Had seen Lord on the self a few months earlier but didn’t even pick it up. But them Lady hit the shelf. I totally judged a book by the cover on both counts. I wasn’t a big fantasy reader at the time. But I picked up Lady and started reading and was so confused. After work I drove 45 mins to the Borders and got Lord and started from the begining.

My mom, who was like the ultimate lover of all things fantasy/romance, read them and recommended that I read them. After I read (more like devoured) them, my dad read them, and we’ve been obsessed ever since!

I found lord of the fading land by chance years ago (in bookstore or Amazon I can’t remember). The book cover drew me to it. Loved it! And the books that followed x

I was looking around a bookstore for a new book and saw The Lord of the Fading Lands. I picked it up, read the back, and have been hooked ever since!

I found C.L. Wilson in the book aisle of Rite Aid. Lord of the Fading Lands looked tempting and Christine Feehan gave the book such a rave review, I had to buy it. I read it in one night, then emailed the author to tell her what a brilliant writer she was/is.

I remember seeing Christine Feehans review as well and that made me more interested in C.L Wilson’s books.

I saw Lady of Light and Shadow in Wal-Mart while browsing their book selection. The cover was so beautiful I grabbed it without even reading the back much. Within the first chapter I realized it wasn’t the first book in the series…I continued reading Lady first then went back for Lord. So glad the cover of Lady caught my eye!! I do occasionally judge a book by its cover! LOL! It paid bc I love love love your Tairen Soul series!

I was just looking around a store at the time and decided to check out the book isle, because I couldn’t afford the game I wanted. So, instead of buying a video game….I picked up The Lord of the Fading Lands. And I don’t regret that decision one bit! Because now I love her (C.L. Wilson) books!

Somehow I got to read the first few chapters of LOTFL, I think that there may have been a recommendation for it from Christine Feehan. I went to CL Wilsons site only to find out that I was going to have to wait a month before the book was to come out. I must have reread those three chapters at least 50 times before I could get my hands on a copy when it was released

I was volunteering at ConCarolinas and she was one of the authors there and she had small little previews of the winter king and I wasn’t able to get one but my friend did and she let me read it and since then I’ve been a fan of her writing!
