Who is your favorite fictional protagonist?  What do you love most about him/her?

Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein’s Monster. It’s never the doctor who is the protagonist to me even though the voice of the narration is his. The tragic story of the monster is one that has manifested over and over again in our modern society- the obsession with appearance, the ‘abandonment’ of a child who doesn’t live up to his/her parent’s expectations, and the longing for affection and love of those who have been turned away by the society. This protagonist has taught me much in my teenage years.

Favorite fictional protagonist??? That’s so hard! Lol. I kinda liked ‘Kolis’. He was a bad guy and I wanted him to fail but he was still better than his replacement!

Omg. Protagonist!!! Lol. I love the Feyreisa of course!

Jade Crane

  on October 12, 2017 :

Either Elena from Guildhunter series or Karigan from the green rider series. I love them because they are so well developed they kick ass but are also really clever. they are so well developed that it is easy to become them.

Rain of course. Love him😍

Oh my, this is a super tough one! So many have run through my head for many different series. Rain and Elysetta. Rain because I totally fell in love with everythjng about him-flaws and all and Elysetta for her courageand her ability to stay humble even after becoming the beautiful queen she was meant to be. I really can’t choose between the two. Their love story was amazing.

Ooh tough question but I have to go with a badass female like Rose Hathaway from Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy or Celaena Sardothien from Sarah J. Maas’ Throne of Glass.

Jessica Jones

  on October 12, 2017 :

Alana from Tamora Pierce’s book. That series was the series that got me addicted to books when I was 11!

Courtney Tonokawa

  on October 12, 2017 :

Penelope from Romancing Mister Bridgerton. I have yet to meet a heroine who is more relatable than her.

Jenny Dorsett

  on October 12, 2017 :

Wow. I’ve been sitting in front of my book shelf for 10 minutes trying to pick someone. I suppose I ha e to say Daine from The Immortals Series by Tamora Pierce. I could relate to her as a foster kid. Her strength was incredible. Even when she became so powerful in her gives, she never lost her kind heart and stayed very humble. Her growth as a character was amazing.

Melissa Esser

  on October 12, 2017 :

Josephini Angelini’s Rowan. It is a good thing he is not real, or I may try to find him in real life ;). I can’t even explain what I like so much about him. His character is very well written and pretty hot all around.

Morgan

  on October 12, 2017 :

Feyre from ACOTAR, for her love and compassion after what she’s been through, the love she has for her family and how she fights for what is right.

Jennie

  on October 12, 2017 :

This week it’s Vanyel from the Last Herald Mage trilogy. I like that he’s able to laugh at himself despite everything he goes through.

Rachael constant

  on October 12, 2017 :

So many to choose from. I’d go with yelena from the poison study (by Maria Snyder). She’s been through so much but she’s still has strength and courage.

Heather

  on October 12, 2017 :

Ooooh sooooo many to choose from! Damon Salvatore from the original 4 Vampire Diaries series because he was the first “bad boy” character I fell for when I was a teen! (#stillteamdamon) Fayre and Rhys both from the ACOTAR series for their strength, loyalty, determination and love for both each other and others they care about! Elizabeth Bennet because she is simply amazing! Aurian from Maggie Furey’s Artefacts of Power series because she is the first female badass fantasy protagonist I ever read and that series got me hooked on fantasy. Ugh there are so many more!

Elizabeth Cromarty

  on October 12, 2017 :

I’d have to go with Elric of Melniboné from The Elric Saga by Michael Moorcock. That series was probably my first great love when it comes to epic fantasy. Though the Tairen Soul series would definitely be one of my favorites over all. Also Cecil Palmer of Welcome to Night vale is another favorite.

Lindsey

  on October 12, 2017 :

Its so hard to pick just one… Alana (Tamora Pierce) for her determination and resourcefulness. Gaelen (C.L. Wilson) for his ruthlessness, loyalty, overall skill, plus he stays cool under pressure. there are many more that i love, but i guess these 2 are top. i may think of another that matches them after i hit enter, lol.

Aly P

  on October 12, 2017 :

I’m picking Elena from the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh. She’s definitely outmatched and outpowered by Raphael(the hero), but she doesn’t let that deter her.

Alexandra Preston

  on October 12, 2017 :

I honestly don’t know. I don’t think that I can just choose one. At least not in one day… or even a month. It would take a lot of thinking and perhaps a character tournament of sorts.

JESSICA LOGAN

  on October 12, 2017 :

Ooo that’s a hard one. I think it’s a toss up between Merry Gentry in the series by Laurell K. Hamilton, just for her BAness like quality and attitude along with her analytical thinking.; and Scarlett O’Hara

LeeAnn De La Cruz

  on October 12, 2017 :

Lila from Wicked Abyss by Kresley Cole. She is such a badass throughout the book and I get a kick out of her attitude, stubbornness, and sassiness.
